Guru post vs my post — only one got saved

Specificity is the whole game in 2026

If your post could've been prompted in ten seconds, the feed will treat it like inventory — scroll, forget, repeat.

Same topic: growing on 𝕏. Guru version: consistency is key, engage, provide value. My version: 50 replies/day × 7 days, day 3 first DM in months, month 3 $223. One sank. One got saved.

Write like a witness, not a commentator. Witnesses are believable. Gurus are interchangeable.

The specificity ladder

→ Level 1 advice → AI makes it free → invisible

→ Level 2 tactics → slightly better → still commodity

→ Level 3 structure → useful → copyable

→ Level 4 witness → numbers + failure + timeline → saved and DM'd

→ Witness compounds → brand becomes non-fungible

The AI problem

Same topic: growing on 𝕏. Two posts. One sank. One got bookmarked and DM'd.

The feed is drowning in correct, forgettable advice. AI made generic free. That means your edge is witness — what you actually did, failed, measured.

This is how you get ahead while everyone else prompts the same 10 tips.

The guru version

Consistency is key 🔑

Engage with your audience

Provide value daily

Trust the process

My version

50 replies/day × 7 days

Day 3: first DM in months

What failed: copy-paste replies

Month 3 after this: $223

Same advice category. Different evidence density. The feed rewards the second because it can't be generated without living it.

The specificity ladder

"post more" "3x/day" "50 replies" "$223 month 3"
Climb the specificity ladder

Level 1: "post more" — invisible. Level 2: "post 3x/day" — slightly better. Level 3: "3x/day: story, lesson, proof" — useful. Level 4: numbers + failure + timeline — shareable.

Write like a witness, not a commentator.

De-genericize in 10 minutes

The AI problem

Your feed is filling with competent, forgettable content. Grammatically correct. Strategically empty. AI made generic free. That means your edge is witness — what you actually did, failed, measured.

The creators who survive AI slop are the ones who can't be prompted: your specific failures, your specific numbers, your specific contradictions. AI will keep flooding the feed with Level 1 and 2 content. Your job is Level 4 — witness writing with receipts.

Guru vs witness — the side-by-side

Same topic: growing on 𝕏. Guru version: "Consistency is key. Engage with your audience. Provide value daily. Trust the process." My version: "50 replies/day × 7 days. Day 3: first DM in months. What failed: copy-paste replies. Month 3 after this: $223."

Same advice category. Different evidence density. The feed rewards the second because it can't be generated without living it. A witness says what they saw. A guru says what should work. Witnesses are believable. Gurus are interchangeable.

The specificity ladder

Level 1: "post more" — invisible. Level 2: "post 3x/day" — slightly better. Level 3: "3x/day: story, lesson, proof" — useful. Level 4: numbers + failure + timeline — shareable. I grew 5.3K on 𝕏 and 16.2K on LinkedIn by climbing this ladder — not by being smarter.

When I rewrote my worst-performing thread using only the witness ladder — one number, one failure, one week — saves doubled. Not overnight. Over the next month. That's the compounding effect of specificity.

Two hours a day — production, not consumption

Spend two hours a day writing, not consuming. Consumption feels like work. Production is work. Your competition is prompting AI. You're documenting reality. That's the gap. Widen it daily.

Open your last five posts. Count how many contain a number you measured yourself. If it's zero, you know what to fix before you write again. One specific post today beats ten generic threads this week.

The rewrite experiment

I took my worst thread from month 4 — generic tips, 200 impressions — and rewrote it with one constraint: every line had to pass the witness test. Added "Day 4: copy-paste replies got ignored." Added "Month 3: $223 after this sprint." Same structure. Different evidence. Saves doubled over the next month.

The lesson isn't "add numbers for engagement." It's "numbers prove you were there." Presence is the new novelty.

Consumption masquerading as work

I used to spend ninety minutes reading growth threads and call it research. Now I spend ninety minutes writing and call it Tuesday. The feed will always have better tips than you can post. Your feed can't have your receipts.

The bar moved in 2026

Level 1 advice is now free and infinite. The audience isn't dumber — they're fuller. To earn attention you need density: timeline, failure, constraint, number. Not all four every post — but at least two.

Pick your oldest guru-style post. Rewrite it as a field report with dates and failures. Publish both versions a week apart and compare saves. The market will teach you faster than I can.

Interchangeable inventory

The feed treats guru content like interchangeable inventory because it is interchangeable. Swap the avatar, keep the tips, nothing breaks. Your job is to be non-fungible — not through louder claims, through unreplicable receipts.

Receipts are time-stamped. They include failure. They include constraint. "I tried this for 7 days" is a receipt. "Be consistent" is inventory.

Run the de-genericize pass on your top post this month. If it still sounds like inventory, don't promote it — fix it.

Two hours of writing daily isn't extreme — it's the minimum buy-in when your competition is infinite free tips. Production is the moat now.

AI will keep flooding the feed with Level 1 and 2 content. Your job is Level 4 — witness writing with receipts. That's not harder. It's more honest.

Rewrite one old post by adding: one number, one failure, one constraint. Watch the difference in replies.

I grew 5.3K on 𝕏 and 16.2K on LinkedIn by climbing this ladder — not by being smarter.

The AI problem

Your feed is filling with competent, forgettable content. Grammatically correct. Strategically empty. That's the new bar — and it's not enough.

The creators who survive AI slop are the ones who can't be prompted: your specific failures, your specific numbers, your specific contradictions.

Write like a witness

A witness says what they saw. A guru says what should work. Witnesses are believable. Gurus are interchangeable.

When I write "Month 1: $0" — that's witness writing. When I write "consistency is key" — that's guru noise. Cut the noise.

2 hours a day. Witness something. Write it. Ship it. Repeat.

Generic advice dies in the feed. Specific witness survives — saved, shared, DMed. The bar moved. Adapt.

Spend 2 hours a day writing, not consuming. Consumption feels like work. Production is work.

Your competition is prompting AI. You're documenting reality. That's the gap. Widen it daily.

One specific post today beats ten generic threads this week.

When I rewrote my worst-performing thread using only the witness ladder — one number, one failure, one week — saves doubled. Not overnight. Over the next month. That's the compounding effect of specificity.

Open your last five posts. Count how many contain a number you measured yourself. If it's zero, you know what to fix before you write again.

  • You're starting to notice your feed is competent and forgettable
  • You're starting to notice you're summarizing instead of reporting
  • You're starting to notice saves dropped on your tip threads
  • You're starting to notice witness posts get DMs, guru posts get likes
  • You want to stand out but you're writing like a dictionary

When I write "Month 1: $0" — witness. When I write "consistency is key" — guru noise. I rewrote my worst thread with one number, one failure, one week. Saves doubled over the next month.

But Andrei — I don't have impressive numbers yet. Month 2 at $0 is a number. Day 4 copy-paste replies failed is a failure. Witness isn't about winning — it's about being there. Small receipts beat big tips when the tips are generic.

How to engineer witness writing

Consumption masquerading as work: ninety minutes of growth threads called "research." Now ninety minutes of writing called Tuesday. Your feed has better tips than you can post. Your feed can't have your receipts.

Level 1 advice is infinite and free in 2026. Density wins: timeline, failure, constraint, number — at least two per post.

How to engineer witness writing

Step one — Recognition.

Open last five posts. Count sentences only you could write. If zero, you know the fix.

Step two — Strategic dissonance.

Highlight every guru line. Delete or replace with one measured detail.

Step three — Environment engineering.

Two hours writing, not consuming. Production is the moat now.

Step four — Self-experimentation.

Climb one rung on the specificity ladder per post this week. Log saves, not impressions.

Thank you for reading.

About Me

Who Is Andrei Lucian?

Just a writer building in public.

Hey, I'm Andrei.

I'm a writer and ghostwriter obsessed with how people grow online without a viral lottery ticket — the drafts, the replies, and the small wins most creators never post about.

I spent years shouting into an empty feed before anything moved. Almost three years of daily writing later, I grew to 5,300+ on 𝕏, 16,300+ on LinkedIn, 5,500+ on Instagram, 850+ on Substack, and 1,100+ on my newsletter — all organic, no ads.

Now I document that playbook in my weekly letters and build content systems for founders who'd rather ship than stare at a blank page.
